Yoga

Yoga is a system of self discipline which consists of proper breathing, exercise and relaxation. Benefits are: increasing your heart rate, improving tone in all the muscle groups, improving range of motion/flexibility in all parts of the body (especially the spine), improving your digestion by stimulating internal organs (i.e. liver, spleen, large intestine), regulates hormone circulation in the blood (i.e. decreasing stress hormones), increases your lung capacity, and improves the connection between the body and mind.

Beginner classes will focus on gentle stretches/postures, breathing and relaxation. For those who have never done yoga before. Mixed Beginner/intermediate classes will focus on deeper stretches/postures, breathing and relaxation. For those who have taken a hatha yoga class. All classes help to focus on proper positioning, physiological benefits, anatomical benefits, and mental/spiritual benefits to the body and mind.
